This is something that I have made at home with my daughter (she is twelve now and does not like to spend time with me like her younger years so these memories are much cherished). It was a great way to spend quality and educational time on the weekends. Once we had completed making these beauty items, the only thing left to do is to try them out. So why not add some candles and indulge in your own creations with your very own home spa.
When I first came across home made products, I started to look at everything in the department stores differently. Could I make that at home myself? The cost to keep purchasing cleansers, toners and moisturising can really add up and this started to bother me when I realised the mark ups on these products are extortionate. Hence, when needing a new batch of these items I jumped at my new found knowledge as an opportunity to test out my own laboratory skills and make these myself. So below is one of my first attempts and recipes I used. I was so impressed with how luxurious the products turned out and how great I felt using them, that it was then that my obsession began.
I found these recipes from an old vintage book found in a second hand store providing years old remedies of beauty care from a more Victorian era... I treasure this book and still have it today

My Beauty page is simply a collection of home made natural beauty products that I have found and collected over time. With so many now taking up space I have decided to store all my favourites in the one place whilst sharing with those who share a passion for making things naturally at home.
